Classic Summer Style

I am oh so smitten with Hank & I's style for our Swim Suits & Beach Bodies episode of VPL! I want a photo shoot on the beach, with drinks of course, right now just thinking about it.

{Yes I'm having my hair curled. Pay no attention. Yes even with app love these iPhone pics are tres dark.}

My dress from Urban Outfitters fit so perfectly I had to keep one for my own. You can see me sporting it here, literally on the beach. {Well played, me.} The necklace is also Urban &  similar to the one we flash a photo of in the episode, which you can see in this post. The shoes are from Brooklyn boutique DNA & perhaps my favorite kind of shoe for a city girl: just a little bit of a wedge so you feel cute/dressed up, but absolutely walkable.

{No the hot assistant isn't flirting with Hank more than me. I don't know what you're talking about ...}

I put Hankster in a very classic JCrew Nantucket look which, as we all know, is my swoony spot when it comes to menswear. It's head to toe Urban. If your gent is nervous about either color or pattern, this is a great example to show him. A striped shirt & colored shorts are pretty much foolproof. And if he's wearing some sort of awkward flip flop or running shoe this summer, there are tons of cool Vans-type slip-ons like this at Urban. It's the grown-up dude's summer shoe.

Check out the whole look in the episode:

with grace & gumption,

Hilary
